Unique "Index" Pages

What are index pages? Why do I need index pages on my LawLytics website?

Your LawLytics website provides you with pre-designed pages that are relevant to attorneys and potential clients.
LawLytics index pages are automatically updated to reflect the newest content you've published. This gives your potential clients easy access to the latest information on your website.
For example, if you publish a new blog post, that post will appear at the top of the blog index page. Index pages display your content in reverse chronological order, from most recent to least recent.
For LawLytics members with multiple websites, index pages can save you time and effort. They allow you to publish information across more than one site. By making a single change to a page, that change will be reflected across all of your LawLytics websites.
These pre-designed index pages include your:
  • Attorney(s) page
  • Case Results
  • Recommendations
  • Blog index
  • Locations page
  • Resources page

How do I access my index pages?

To access any of these six pages, navigate to the "Publish" tab in the LawLytics control panel. Tabs for each index page will appear below.

Note: You can also add content through the Content Editor. That content will appear above the newest published content.

In addition to the six LawLytics Index Pages, there are two other pages that have unique functionality: the Home Page and Contact Page.

Home Page

The Home Page is the first page on your website. If a web visitor were to type your domain directly into the address bar of their browser, they would arrive at your home page. For example, if you type “ www.lawlytics.com” into your browser’s address bar, you’ll be directed to our home page.

A unique feature of your Home Page is the ability to add a slider. A slider is a small slideshow added to your homepage that allows you to display relevant content for your web visitors. LawLytics offers two kinds of sliders: Recent Blog Posts and Custom Slides.

\Recent Blog Posts will display the five most recent blog posts you’ve published, along with their accompanying image. For visual consistency, we recommend that you use images of the same size for each blog post. If the blog post images are different sizes, your slider may not work correctly.

The Custom Slides option allows you to choose what content you display for your web visitors. Custom Slides allow you to add an image from your Media Library, a title, the content of your choosing, and a link.

In a custom slide, the title and content are the text that will appear on top of the slider or next to the slider, depending on your chosen layout.

Note: Images should be scaled to size. Different layouts require differently sized sliders. If you’re not sure how to scale your images, email us at [email protected]. We’re happy to walk you through the process and assist with resizing your images.

The Home Page allows you to add a Shoutout -- an attention-grabbing block of text. Unlike a tagline -- the text communicating your brand’s message that appears just beneath your logo -- a Shoutout generally appears above your Home Page text. To add a shoutout, type your text into the Shoutout box.

The Home Page can be edited just like any other page.

Contact Page

The Contact Page allows web visitors to easily contact your law firm. The Contact Page contains a form selector. The form selector allows you to pick a form from your Forms Library that you have created and place it on the Contact Page.

Your contact page will feature a map of your office location(s), as well as your firm’s phone number and address.

Contact Pages are the only Index page that can be deleted. We advise against doing so, as this page has lots of unique formatting in order to include the contact form, the map, and any other information you want to include. You can "Publish Changes" that you make to the page, "Unpublish" the page, or "Delete" it. When a page is unpublished, you’ll see a crossed-out eye icon in the left sidebar.
