Using Social Media with LawLytics

LawLytics makes it easy to connect your Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts to your LawLytics website(s). You can use this built-in feature to publish content to your social media networks from the convenience of the LawLytics Control Panel.

Adding Social Media Accounts

To connect your social media accounts to your LawLytics website, hover over your name in the top right-hand corner of the LawLytics control panel. From the drop-down that appears, select "My Social Media Accounts."

In the Social Media Accounts area, you have the option to add Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts.

Select the account you would like to add.

This will redirect you to an authorization page for the respective social media platform. LawLytics requires access to certain aspects of your social media in order to publish your content. These permissions are explained in the individual authorization windows provided by each social media platform.

You can also click the green “New” button on the top left of your screen to add other social media accounts.

LawLytics also supports Facebook Business Pages and LinkedIn Company Pages. When you associate your Facebook or LinkedIn account using the steps above, you will see a menu. Under the “Post To” section of the menu, check the box next to whichever page(s) you’d like to post to. Note that Facebook no longer allows automatic posting to personal accounts, so you will need a business page in order to automatically publish your content on Facebook.

Selecting to post to both your personal page and your business page on LinkedIn will allow LawLytics to share blog posts on both pages.

Not selecting any accounts will prevent LawLytics from posting to your social media accounts as posting will be limited to whichever accounts you select.

Note: For security reasons, your Facebook and LinkedIn account connection must be renewed every 60 days. You will be notified when the accounts are disconnected and you'll be given the option to reconnect them when this occurs. 

Once a social media account is connected with your LawLytics account, you can choose whether to display a link to your social media account on your website. If you have multiple LawLytics websites, you can select which of your sites displays a social media link. Check the box next to the domain you want to add a link to. This will generate a social media icon on your website that links to your account.

Using Your Social Media Accounts to Announce New Blog Posts 

Once your social media accounts are connected with your LawLytics account, you can post from LawLytics to all of your social media platforms.

After you have written a blog post, but before initial publication, check the “Announce to Social Media” box at the bottom of the blog post area. Check the social media accounts that should announce your post. 

Manual Social Media Posting

LawLytics allows you to manually post to your associated social media accounts.

At the top of the left sidebar, you’ll see a second navigation item called “Posts.”

Click on "Posts" to write a post and manually select which social media accounts will display the post.
